Road to Resolution
A month-long virtual course to help you resolve more conflict in your life.
Your conflicts have something to teach you.
Building a conflict resilient life requires bravery.
When shame has the wheel, examining our role in conflict becomes a threat. It is when we look at our actions compassionately and truthfully, that we harness the neutral energy of conflict and get a chance to receive its personalized life lessons.
If you take this path, it will likely mean changing how you show up in your relationships. Are you ready?
Take back your peace. Mindfully choose which habits and behaviors you normalize into your life and see the effects these choices can have in your relationships and conflicts.
1. Learn to identify and communicate your needs when in conflict
2. Give and receive feedback in a way that deepens relationships
3. Compassionately respond to another’s truth, even when it's hard to hear
4. Unlock new creative solutions to problems
5. Listen for the unmet needs buried inside judgements
6. Understand your body’s cues of dysregulation

Meet your facilitator: Olga Liapis-Muzzy
Hello! I’m a DC based mediator, facilitator, and coach working for social transformation.
I created this course because I believe your conflicts have something to teach you. When I received my mediation training through the Center of Dispute Resolution and later the International Institute for Restorative Practices (IIRP), I didn’t know how many personal lessons I was signing up to receive.
I’ll share with you my practices for deepening personal relationships, alleviating unnecessary tension, and building a more peaceful life.
This course (and much of my work) builds off the teachings of Ken Cloke, adrienne maree brown, Thích Nhất Hạnh, Transformative Justice Practices and Nonviolent Communication. I actively work to maintain a trauma-informed and anti-racist practice, the central motto of which is: correction is a gift.

Olga’s approach is heart-softening. I didn’t want to be angry anymore and I wanted guidance in mending a relationship. She helped me uncover nuanced feelings that allowed me to let go of emotions that weren’t serving me anymore. I have felt so much lighter and more relieved since!

Olga is patient, a profound listener, and communicative in just the right moments. She knows precisely when and how to gently push you through the uncomfortable moments, when it’s best to allow space to process, and when it’s best to proceed. And she does it all in a safe environment that she is a master at cultivating.

I had the opportunity to do 1:1 coaching with Olga where a mediation between me and the other party was not a possibility. Olga has a natural gift, it was so helpful to gain some perspective from a professional. She offered real insight and tangible solutions to find our way through conflict ... or at least a sense of having given it its best shot!

This course is designed for the person who is ready to approach their life in new ways. If you want to expand your conflict resolution toolkit, use communication to deepen bonds, and feel ready to begin unlocking some of the real-life conflict you’re experiencing, then this invitation is for you.
-
Expect interactive and participatory sessions (this is not meant as a passive zoom experience) digging into strategies that can help you resolve conflict at the earliest stages possible. You'll get to know your own conflict style, understand what communication habits make resolution harder versus easier, and work on developing strong nervous system regulation strategies.
Some questions we’ll explore together include:
How do we communicate with others (especially about difficult or important topics) without causing unnecessary harm?
How do we handle moments of harm that others put us through?
How do we deal with the influence of our human systems on the conflicts we experience?
-
I mean the moments of challenge we experience in relationship with other people. This can look as many ways as there are humans and differing contexts. Perhaps it’s a fight at home or a misunderstanding at work. Perhaps someone broke an agreement or you have to give difficult feedback or you need new solutions to a problem. Endless possibilities.
